We're always looking to provide publishers and creators better management tools and new monetization opportunities. Today, we're introducing new features including:
  • Expanded Brand Collabs Manager to more countries and expanding eligibility criteria.
  • Enhanced Creator Studio, including new Instagram features and Traffic Source Insights.
  • Updates to Stars, to help viewers support their favorite streamers.
Expansion of Brand Collabs Manager
To help advertisers find creators for branded content partnerships, based on real insights, we introduced Brand Collabs Manager. Today we’re announcing that creators in over 40 countries can now apply for access to Brand Collabs Manager, bringing it in line with in-stream ads. And we’ll continue expanding in coming months. To qualify for Brand Collabs Manager, you need at least 1,000 followers and one or more of the following over the last two months, 15,000 engagements on your posts, 180,000 minutes viewed, or 30,000 1-minute views on videos that are 3-minutes or longer. In the coming months, we will also make improvements to organic and paid insights to help advertisers to understand the performance of their branded content posts more deeply. You can learn more here.
Enhancements to Creator Studio: Traffic Source Insights & Instagram Features
Along with content, we want to make content data more accessible, too. In the coming weeks, we’ll introduce a new data visualization in Creator Studio called Traffic Source Insights. Publishers and creators will clearly see how their content is distributed across Facebook, and be able to optimize for each source. Traffic Source Insights breaks out video watch time and retention metrics for a Page across four key sources: Followers, Shares, Recommended and Paid. You can view metrics in aggregate, and view top videos in a particular time range for each source.
Insights Charts
In addition to new Traffic Source Insights, we’re adding new features for publishing Instagram content from desktop. With Tag Instagram accounts, creators can easily tag feed photos and photos-within-carousel posts. The tags will be tappable for these posts once published. Or tag a post with a brand partner and people will see “Paid partnership with [brand partner]” in the header. Tagged brand partners can see the reach and engagement of these posts in their Facebook Page Insights. You can also turn off comments on an Instagram post to manage your community in a more fine-tuned way.
Updates to Stars
We’re improving the ways creators earn revenue directly from fans with new updates to Facebook Stars, which lets fans send Stars while watching live videos on Facebook. With New Mobile Tools, creators can see who has sent them Stars for their live videos, including the top three Stars senders, in real time during their live stream. With Star Goals, creators can also set a public goal for the number of Stars they’d like to receive, so viewers can help their favorite creators reach their goals.
